Hermit Crabs

Today we were lucky to receive 3 beautiful hermit crabs. (Parent donations rock! Thanks Tasha Olden!)

 What we've learned:
We learned that there are different kinds of hermit crabs. (Marine/Land)
That they eat all kinds of things! (Fruits, vegies, meat, and even poop!)
We learned what MOLTING means! And what an EXOSKELETON is!
We learned that they are most active at nights. (Nocturnal)

 What a fun day!
I had some very brave students want to hold one today. 😊
